:bulletorange:Introduction
Hero Faffory is a comic series of mine, with virtually all of the characters being MOCs that I have made. I'm rather fond of its light humour, even if it does tread the realm of silliness all too often. Enjoy!

:bulletblue:General Info

Occasionally I'll upload a single-panel comic titled 'Hero Faffory Page n.5: [Name]'. These are comics that focus on the highlight of 'Page n', and will be in a similar style to my 100TC deviations (that is, sometimes mildly comical, sometimes more artistic). They don't add to the storyline, but I suppose you could look at them if you don't have the time to read the full-length ones.

And yes, virtually every aspect of Hero Faffory has taken influence from the Pokémon series: the page titles, the designs of the characters, and even their personalities. Each Bio will have a subsection 'Pokéstats' to talk about this, but don't worry, I shall have mercy on those of you who don't keep up as much as I do.

Some of you Americans may be confused as to how the name 'Hero Faffory' came to be. It's a combination of the words 'Hero Factory' (duh.) and the British word 'faff', which is near the top of my Favourite Words list. 'A faff' is a general annoyance or inconvenience, while 'faffing around' means to muck about, do nothing of importance. And really, that's the underlying theme of the comic series: the force of evil really isn't much of a threat, so there's a lot of... well, faffing around.

:bulletyellow:Character Biographies in order of appearance. I've also added my own personal comments for each character, since a lot of the bios I've read before seem very detached, making it easy to forget that that person invented that character in the first place.

Creator as seen here.
Debut comic: Page 1: Autotomise
Font colour: Metru brown
Nature: Lax
Bio: Creator is the omnipresent being (also 17-year old kid), represented only by his hands. He's a very complex character, and really the best way to describe him is for you to read the pages themselves, but for now I'll just give you a string of adjectives: commanding; merciless, at times; fears the unknown; conservative; lighting-obsessive; fanatic; pensive; generally temperamental.
Personal comment: Is it bold of me to put myself in my own comics? Perhaps. I like being able to make my MOCs do crazy stuff, and intervene at the same time.

Evo 0.5 as seen here.
Debut comic: Page 1: Autotomise
Font colour: Gunmetal
Nature: Lonely
Bio: Evo started off as your typical Hero, but has since been relegated to Crab Daycare. He's generally kept out of the loop.
Personal comment: Those of you who have been watching me for a while probably know that I have something against Stars-sized figures, so why not include one in the line of fire storyline, eh?

Cancer a.k.a Carcinus
Debut comic: Page 1: Autotomise
Nature: Timid
Bio: Cancer is a crab who was first seen terrorising Figsville, but this doesn't accurately reflect his demeanour. He just wants company, that's all - though he's having trouble breaking out of his minifig-decapitating habit.

Nightmare
Debut comic: Page 2: Frustration
MOC focus: Shape
Font colour: Black
Nature: Serious
Bio: Nightmare is a malevolent spirit, the embodiment of fear, whose magical powers are generally vague and unexplained. As is the goal of any selfrespecting evildoer, he plans to take over the world. He is trapped on the Graveshelf, Sector B, which just so happens to be right next to Creator's desk. Despite making zero progress in his World Takeover plan, Nightmare remains serious that he can pull it off. Somehow.
Personal comment: Looka yonder, a handicapped Disney villain! Don't worry folks, Nightmare is not a force to be underestimated. His army simply hasn't been built yet.
Pokéstats: Type: Ghost/Dark.
Nightmare was based off the Pokémon Spiritomb, which explains the 'sealed to a rock' concept. The move 'Nightmare' is a powerful Ghost-type move that only works when the target is asleep, reflecting Nightmare's tendency to prey on the weak. I also like how nightmares are intangible things that still leave a considerable mark on people's lives - much like Nightmare's glow-in-the-dark head, I might add.

Discharge
Debut comic: Page 3: Charge
MOC focus: Sturdiness
Font colour: Yellow
Nature: Quirky
Bio: Discharge is a robot built by Creator in an attempt to fill the void when a previous Hero, Avalanche, left the business. Designed to be an efficient member of Hero Factory, he is equipped with the fanciest of techno-stuff and is armed with an array of cannons.
Personal comment: I thought it'd be fun to include an emotionless character amongst the others, so what better than a computer?
Pokéstats: Type: Electric/Steel.
There wasn't an awful lot of inspiration taken from Pokémon this time - there's only so much you can do with the robot concept. However, a lot of the physical appearance drew inspiration from Electivire. Meanwhile, the move Discharge is a relatively powerful Electric-type move with a high chance of causing paralysis on the opponent, showing how Discharge is good for support as well as offence.

Spore
Debut comic: Page 4: Sky Drop
MOC focus: Size
Font colour: Lime green
Nature: Brave
Bio: Spore is not your typical garden fairy. Having been brought up around several conveniently-offscreen brothers and a strict but protective mother, she's developed a sense of rebellion and adventure. Her healing powers haven't fully broken in yet, given that she's still a child, but to her this is of unimportance; furthermore she's not letting her weak wings stop her from achieving flight, as her debut comic demonstrates.
Personal comment: I introduced Spore to balance out colour, size and gender. Isn't that nice?
Pokéstats: Type: Grass/Bug.
Main inspiration from Mr. Typical Forest Fairy, a.k.a Celebi. The move Spore is a narrowly-distributed Grass-type move that inflicts sleep on the opponent, showing her inability to cause direct damage, and spores in biology are small, floaty things - perfect for her size, no?

Niyyan a.k.a. Y
Debut comic: Page 8: Powder Snow
Font colour: White
Nature: Mild
Bio: Creator's first (and arguably, only) friend. His personality is much like Creator's, albeit much more stable.
Personal comment: He started off as a cameo appearance, but I thought I'd give him a bigger role. He is my self-MOC, after all.

Avalanche
Debut comic: Page 22: Rock Tomb
MOC focus: Bionicle-HF Build style
Font colour: Metru blue
Nature: Bold
Bio: The first Hero in Sector B, designed to fight the advancing army of rogue Rahi in Figsville.
Personal comment: Avalanche is the typical character needed in any Good vs Evil situation, rather like Tahu or anyone from Marvel.
Pokéstats: Type: Ice/Water.
Avalanche was based off Samurott, which almost explains the colour scheme. The move Avalanche is an Ice-type move that doubles in damage if the user has previously been attacked, so you could relate that to the whole fighting thing... and because the other Ice or Water moves didn't sound appealing.

Endeavour
Debut comic: Page 23: Extremespeed
MOC focus: Function
Font colour: Mata blue
Nature: Jolly
Bio: The second Hero of Sector B, assigned to the Creation department. He's happy-go-lucky, pacifist, generally jolly all the time, and he wants nothing more than for everyone to get along. His speciality is MiniMOCs.
Personal comment: Yo dawg, I heard you like MOCs, so I made your MOCs MOC your MOCs so you can MOC MOCs while your MOC MOCs MOCs.
Pokéstats: Type: Normal.
Endeavour was based off a mix of Snorlax and Blissey, which explains his overall shape. You could also make some kind of connection between the egg's symbolism of creation and his job in Hero Factory. Meanwhile, Endeavour is a Normal-type move which brings the foe down to your current health... meaning equality and stuff.

Toxic
Debut comic: Page 32: Transform
MOC focus: Contrast
Font colour: Purple
Nature: Impish
Bio: Toxic is Endeavour's new name, after having been corrupted by Nightmare. Having retained his MOCing capabilities from before, Toxic is (as Nightmare sees it) able to build an army to suit Nightmare's needs, but only time will tell how this shall pan out.
Personal comment: Nightmare needs company. And, to an extent, a reason to be taken seriously.
Pokéstats: Type: Poison/Normal.
Toxic's corrupted half was based off Toxicroak, though this relationship was more of a MOC-leads-to-a-Pokémon (for consistency) than the other way round. The move Toxic is (like his nature) not a direct attack, but one that kills the opponent slowly but steadily.

Psystrike
Debut comic: Page 39: Meditate
MOC focus: Articulation
Font colour: Metru red
Nature: Quiet
Bio: Psystrike, otherwise known as Psy, is one of Creator's oldest MOCs. Despite his age and poor vision, he remains physically strong. Psy is in search of his purpose in life; he can often be found meditating about the subject.
Personal comment: You could say that Psy is the organic equivalent of Discharge.
Pokéstats: Type: Psychic/Fighting.
Psy took inspiration from Medicham both in character and colour scheme. As for the name... well, as you can probably tell by my frequent use of his nickname, 'Psystrike' doesn't really appeal to me. It's a powerful move that involves both the physical and special side of the spectrum, suitably, but really it was the only Psychic- or Fighting-type move that fitted.

:bulletwhite: The missing elephant
There is a tiny blue elephant hidden in every main page of Hero Faffory. Can you find him?

:bulletblack: Well, that's all from me. Expect updates, as I've said before, and I hope you enjoy the series!

I wonder what Ember'll be like. Maybe a Cruella DeVille temper, but also a soft nurturing side too?
But nevertheless, I get the feeling she'll retain the colour scheme of dark colours at the bottom which slowly get lighter toward her head.
Am I right, or will you surprise us yet again?
